Using a PC, you can download music to a Philips GoGear MP3 player using Songbird, the default management media player, or Windows Explorer. For business owners, downloading your favorite songs, artists and playlists allows you to enjoy your music while travelling. Whether you decide to use the Philips software or the 'drag & drop' method in Windows Explorer, downloading music to your GoGear MP3 player takes just minutes to complete.
Using Philips Songbird Software
1.Install Philips Songbird software using the CD that comes with your player. Alternatively, you can download and install the program directly from the Philips website.
2.Connect your Philips GoGear MP3 player to the computer using the supplied USB cable and launch Songbird.
3.Click the 'File' menu and click 'Import Media.' Select the folder containing the music files to add to the media player and click 'OK' to import songs to the Songbird library.
4.Click the 'Music' link under 'Library' to view the songs copied to the library. Right-click the songs to copy to the player, select 'Add to Device' and then click 'Philips GoGear' to download music to your player.
5.Locate your GoGear under 'Devices' in the Songbird interface and click the drop-down arrow next to it. Click the 'Music' link to verify whether the transfer was successful. The right pane displays the songs uploaded to the media player.
Using Windows Explorer

4.Click the 'Back' button when you finish, right-click your media player's hard drive and click 'Eject.' Disconnect the USB cable.
Tip
- Some Philips GoGear players require changing the USB settings to MTP connection mode before connecting to the computer to transfer songs using Songbird. Changing the USB setting varies with different players, so refer to your GoGear's manual.
